Galeria Plan B

Founded in 2005 by Mihai Pop and Adrian Ghenie. Has had a permanent Berlin space since 2008. The bridge between the Cluj scene and the international market.

Plan B opened in 2005 as a production and exhibition space, in a city with no art market. In 2008 it opened a permanent space in Berlin, at Strausberger Platz. In 2009 it initiated Fabrica de Pensule.

It organised Romania's pavilion at the 2007 Venice Biennale, curated it in 2015, and supported Șerban Savu's project in 2024.

Its roster includes Adrian Ghenie, Victor Man, Ciprian Mureșan, Șerban Savu, Cornel Brudașcu, Cristi Pogăcean, Gabriela Vanga and Navid Nuur.

Contradictory sources, September 2026: the gallery's Google listing is marked permanently closed and is unclaimed, while the gallery's own site lists staff at a “Cluj location” — gallery assistance, archive and storage. The likeliest explanation is that the listing refers to the space in the Paintbrush Factory, which closed with the Factory in 2022. Until we can confirm a visitable Cluj address, we flag it here rather than assert it.
