Who makes it
Journal pieces are signed, and every author has a page saying what they cover and what they have written. Corrections are made in the open.

Where it came from
BestCluj began as a service-learning project of the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University, under the name “Artisans of Tomorrow: From Cluj to the Globe”.
It launched on 24 May 2024, in the fourth-floor room of the FSPAC 1 building on Traian Moșoiu Street, with more than twenty creative professionals in the room. The evening was built around one question: how does someone who creates in this city reach an audience outside it.
The question stayed; the answer changed. BestCluj no longer runs courses: it documents what happens in Cluj and who makes it, with the sources in plain view, so they can be found by whoever is looking.
What we are not
We sell no placement in the programme and publish no paid content. An artist or venue profile costs nothing.
We are not a ranking, a competition or a prize, and not an agency: we represent nobody and take a cut of nobody’s work.
We only use photographs we are allowed to publish, each credited; we never generate photographs of real people.
