Four exhibitions at the Art Museum this September

The Art Museum in the Bánffy Palace has four temporary exhibitions this September, alongside the National Art Gallery, which is open all year.

What is on

Belu-Simion Fainaru, “The House from Cămărzana – Place of Absence”, opening 9 September at 18:00, to 27 September. Of the four, he is the only one with measurable international recognition — searched more from the United States than from Romania.

Elekes Gyula, “ÎnSEMNe”, an enamel exhibition, opening 8 September, to 20 September.

Dana Fabini, “Passing By”, opening 10 September, to 27 September.

Florin Olari, “Transcend. Painting, installation and performance”, opening 16 September, to 4 October.

And until 13 September, “Cluj. Squares, towers, reveries” — the city in postcards, across 130 years.

Opening hours

Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00–17:00. Last admission to the exhibition rooms: 16:30.

They are published on the museum's own site, and that is where we took them from. Correction, 10 September 2026: this originally said the hours are not in the museum's Google listing. That is false — the listing carries exactly these hours. What is true, and we checked it separately, is that the listing is unclaimed by the museum, so those hours are public contributions rather than information the institution put there.
