Casa de Cultură a Studenților

Cluj students set out their wish for a culture house in a local paper as early as 1921. Until then, activities took place in improvised clubs inside the city's seven higher-education institutions.

The wish was granted in 1956, by a decision establishing Students' Culture Houses in every university centre. The provisional council proposed the university assistant Hodorog Laurențiu as director. Activity was inaugurated on 10 February 1957, with a programme of music and humour.

It carries the name of Dumitru Fărcaș. The posted hours are 08:00–22:00, every day — the range of an institution that stays open, not a hall that opens for a performance. Its own site has sections for ensembles, calendar, events and rates, plus the transparency documents the law requires.
