The busiest galleries in Cluj have no search demand at all
We read 205 events across 45 days, grouped them by venue, then measured every venue. The three busiest art spaces in the city draw zero searches a month.
Aluvial hosted 32 events in the last 45 days. Atelier Patru, 17. Parter Gallery, 15. By any measure of activity, these are the liveliest art spaces in Cluj.
None of them is searched on Google. Not “rarely” — zero, measured directly.
What that means
A directory that picks its entries by search volume would miss the scene exactly. It would list the operas and the museums — which genuinely are searched — and skip the rooms where things happen.
The real Cluj scene does not travel through search. It travels through Instagram, through the city's curated calendar, and by word of mouth. The four galleries above do not even have websites: they have an Instagram account and a Facebook page.
Which is the reason to build a guide anyway
If the information were easy to find, collecting it would be pointless. A guide is not competing with Google here; it is doing the work Google does not — checking the address, noting the hours, citing the source and dating it.
And some places do have demand while still being documented nowhere in full: NON Centru de Arte Performative, 260 searches a month. YOLKA, 170. Camera, 110. White Cuib, 70 — where Ciprian Mureșan and Șerban Savu are exhibiting right now.
